There will also be another gen V8 after this one.

GM will be the last to axe the V8 engine, if they ever do at all.
Who? I've never seen anyone on this site get mad at a car for offering a V8, if anything the opposite is true lol.

Like Steve said, this is only possible because GM has a lot of high-volume trucks to put these engines in. But something designed as a true bespoke performance engine like the Blackwing V8 will likely never see the light of day again from any mainstream brand.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power_take-off

A power take-off or power takeoff (PTO) is one of several methods for taking power from a power source, such as a running engine, and transmitting it to an application such as an attached implement or separate machine. Most commonly, it is a splined drive shaft installed on a tractor or truck allowing implements with mating fittings to be powered directly by the engine.

Don't remember the engine he said it has but it may be a big block and has been dead solid reliable.
GM never put a big block engine in the Escalade. It had the 5.7, and then the 5.3 and the 6.0, and then the 6.2. Those are all GM small-block engines.

In fact, GM hasn't put big blocks in production vehicles since 2007ish when they went to the GMT900 platform and killed off the 8.1, which I think only lives on now in RV's and other large vehicles.

Default Small block in the Escalade

I hope this is ok with OP, I just like to drop a vehicle the small block will be available in.

Meet the 2023 Cadillac Escallade

What do ya'll think of this interior.

How about these engine offerings.
A:
6.2L V8
B: 3.0L Duramax Turbo diesel
C: 6.2L V8, hand built with supercharger, exclusive to the Escallade-V

‘How about that? That is a serious V8.

Not only this, they have/are investing nearly 1 *billion* dollars into the project. This isn't directed toward anyone but don't always fall for what the TV says. Americans need and WANT their V8 vehicles. EVs yes are big... But GM spending nearly 10 figures on V8 production is pretty noteworthy.

It’s not what the TV says, it’s what the manufacturers say, GM included.

I am willing to be Toyota will have a new V8 soon. This just shows that ICE is not dead

I think that's a pipe dream, unfortunately. But a new Toyota V8 I'm sure would be crazy, we know they know how to build them.

But of course ICE isn't dead, isn't even close. It's not even "dying" I don't think. Plenty of choices for both ICE and EV.

I think EVs are fizzling just a bit, personally. Nothing huge but a little.

Tesla cut their prices big time. Demand has softened a bit
