Nobody even talks about the impact to the environment with all the mining that will be needed to make these batteries.
Guess what will be powering all that mining - fossil fuels.
What will power EVs - fossil fuels

We are just moving the air pollution from US to other parts of the world causing more damage to the earth.

EV industry is about making $$$ at the expense of the environment.

Instead of just Oil, now we are mining for rare earth materials with who knows the consequences…..

Nice balance, run my commute on the batteries.

Disclaimer, I don't know the details about PHEV's yet but if I understand it has a low range battery and ICE.
Lots of brands and models to choose from if I understand.

Hybrids are ok but not my thing, I don't want to hear the engine start and stop at every light.

PS- if I am wrong plz go easy on me, I always come to CL with empty pockets and come with what I know and don't lol
Unless I have to look up some technical stuff to help a member in the models forum, of course.
BTW, I've learned a lot from ya'll members.
There's really no wrong choice if you bought the car that suits you, and you like, and meets your daily needs. Impulse buying is usually where the "oh crap, what did I do?" applies

Nothing is more impactful to this earth than oil drilling (a simple Google search), but this is not the correct forum to discuss that

Unfortunately this will not solve oil drilling issues at all but will ADD more issues with opening of thousands of new mines.

California will be main beneficiary though with cleaner air so who cares what’s happening in China, Africa, etc
