Crazy pedestrians...

What they have done for pedestrians in Bethesda is ridiculous...and they STILL walk in the middle of the road and cross in the middle of the street.
Yeah, all of that was vehicle traffic lanes:
One of my offices is in the building to the right of the Chase, driving through there is a nightmare now.

It is completely ridiculous. Best part is delivery trucks have no choice but to unload in the middle of the street

Wow. I would be lying if I said I was surprised though, this is why I drive so gradually and slowly whenever I'm forced into a city.
Annoys the other drivers sometimes but I'm not going to pull out even somewhat quickly if I can't confirm some moron like that isn't doing something similar. I hate how they act as if they can win vs a multi 1000 lb powered object, it's so stupid.

Steve, do you have down there what we have in NYC?
Car lane, parking lane, bike lane, sidewalk. So if you're making a right turn there is always a chance there could be a bike going straight you can't see cuz of the parked cars. On top of that bikers always think they have the right of way.

That is a Nissan Altima or Maxima - do those have auto stop/braking? I wonder if that was the driver or the car making the immediate stop. Can't believe what some people will do - scary.

I had a similar situation as this a while back but it was a car forcing its way out of a stack of other cars. It's no fun having to go full brake and contemplate the ditch

Cyclists too. I once stopped to turn onto a busy moving street. I mean from a stop you would just step on the gas to get on with the flow. This sucker just flew through in front of me from nowhere. Right at the very second I let go the brake to step on the gas. He was lucky but so was I. I would have been in a **** hole. I was traveling too.

They want to be treated as vehicles when it benefits them, and pedestrians when that benefits them.
