What kind of dashcam do you have? Does it just keep recording and push out first in video? Does your MB have something like BMW drive recorder?

Its a Thinkware F800 Pro. They don't make it anymore, but they still make the Q800 Pro which is the same dashcam just with 2K resolution. This one is only 1080 Front and Rear

No drive recorder in my MB, but you can get that in the newer models.

Yeah it records all the time on a loop, and just overwrites the oldest stuff. When parked it has a shock detector and comes on.

I'd get at least a 2K one today, 4K is overkill but 2K you can better make out license plates and all. This is the same DashCam I had in the Lexus.

That woman is so lucky she didn’t get hit. And to say that that car was going so slow it wouldn’t have killed her is just an assumption. Last year a friend of mine’s brother died getting tapped by a car while he was stopped on his bike at a light and he landed on his head the wrong way and died. I mean the video of him getting hit was a joke and yet somehow he died. Sometimes it doesn’t take much.

Cyclers in DC aren’t much better. Years ago my father was in gridlock and started to move forward between lights and a cycled went through the cross traffic red light when my father moved forward and smashed into his car and flipped over the hood. Luckily nothing happened to my father after that incident because I was sure he was going to get sued.

Oh yeah, think about Bob Saget, fell somehow in a hotel room and died. I have a good friend who was walking down his driveway and slipped and hit his head, brain bleeds, multiple skull fractures, seizures...he survived and is going to make a full recovery which is a complete miracle. The human body is fragile...

And even if you didn't die, you could be paralyzed...

About this woman, just the way she walked right along after, a few seconds later she was playing with her dog...tells me this kind of thing happens to her a lot.

Ok thanks. Works like the hdd security. FIFO. It’s always good to have ine of these esp you drive something luje like an S. More potential consequences. I have drive recorder so I think I should be good. It records all directions and saves when an impact is detected. I’m not sure it records when the car is off.

when i was up at UMass for college the campus is naturally full of those stop for pedestrian crosswalks

and people would always just blindly start walking across frequently not even looking to see if a car was coming... i remember one girl made a bus coming down the hill basically slam on the brakes to avoid hitting her

i would always try waiting back for traffic to naturally clear since i hated making all the cars stop, the idea of an entire bus having to come to a stop and waste ALL that energy for a lone pedestrian that couldn't wait a few seconds greatly perturbs me lol

What a concept, actually being cognizant of cars when you’re a pedestrian lol. I’m the same way, and I always hurry across…
