Compared to vehicles of similar size and weight, the engine is not nearly as powerful as the power output states on paper. I've shown that time and again, while you make excuses for it by limiting what "class" it's in or bring up other factors unrelated to the engine like cabin size. It's the same engine whether it's in the RX500h or here.
As for Hyundai? Their non-hybrid 2.5T is almost as fast as this max hybrid with supposedly a hundred more HP lol. That's why I found it originally to be underwhelming, nevermind compared to the turbo 6 cylinders that are all around a second faster on comparably sized vehicles.
In what way?
Would Benz buyers even cross shop a GH? Wont they just move up to the GLS even though its smaller than the GH on the inside out of pride? I'm not going to lie, getting into my friend's Sienna hybrid for a test drive after hopping out of my GX, the first thought that came to mind was "what is this trash?" My 1996 Toyota Camry LE V6 had nicer materials. Damn I miss that car and engine.

As far as $60K+ mainstream vehicles, you have the Explorer ST which is faster, the inline 6 CX-90 which we have no estimate, and the Jeep which we just mentioned. What else are you comparing it with?
And as far as the whole argument about how "power doesn't matter on a family hauler" then why would Toyota offer the hybrid max engine? It clearly does matter to be something offered for sale.
How? Post the numbers.

Where lol. You named one- the Jeep Grand Cherokee L's V8 which is ancient and being in the process of being replaced by a 500 HP inline 6. Name any other vehicle the same size/weight as the TX with similar power numbers that is slower. And if there isn't enough information for that, find it for the RX500h.

And it weighs more than the RX500h too.

You missed in this thread where I defended 4 cyls and even said my Pacifica would probably be made better by a turbo 4.
I am hypercritical of 4 cyl engines in luxury cars, not in general. I think by and large these new turbo 4s are better choices for mainstream vehicles from a drivability standpoint than NA 6 cyls.

That V6 hybrid didnt have as much power as the MaxHybrid, only 306 hp.

But they're just clearly not going to invest in new 6 cyl powertrains.

Lexus wouldn't dare put the 2.4 turbo hybrid into the LS would they?

Oh you want cheap? I'll give you cheap. I just had the recall done on my 4.0 (waste of time, there was nothing wrong and they were shocked. It's almost as if I use the correct oil on 1/2 interval....) and I got a Q5 as a loaner with nearly every option. I also tried out an etron and my god the Germans do not do midrange (60-85k) cars well.
Horribly overpriced for what you get
