We talked about this, the Ford has a time from C&D, who always out performs everyone else. Ford's time is 5.6, the GH is 6.3. 7/10ths of a second, we'll see how C&D does with the GH. The Audi is not a competitor.
So, you weren't okay with 1/2 a second but you'd take 1-1.5 seconds slower to get a V6?
You don't know that a GH will go over $60k, and the GH Max Hybrid is a slot above these vehicles, they are best compared to the 2.5L turbo GH, which will be under $60k loaded is my guess. Can't tell me they aren't priced the same when we don't have a price yet.
These vehicles are all in the same class.
I completely disagree, I see the powertrain as right in line. Look at my list of 0-60s and tell me what I'm missing...projected 0-60 for the CX90 is 6 seconds...
And remember, the GH MH will get dramatically better fuel economy than all of them to boot.

If powertrain was the only thing I was looking at, I would easily take any 6-cylinder turbo over the Max Hybrid 4-pot. At the price it'll be going for, it makes no sense to compare that powertrain with cars that are around $10K less.
As for fuel economy, Mazda gets around 25 MPG on its new inline 6, which is very comparable to the GH. I have no idea how quick that engine will be, but I'd gladly take a 2 MPG loss for an inline 6 vs. a 4-pot.

Outlets have tested the RX500h, the best I've seen anyone get is 5.7 seconds to 60 with that motor on a car that's quoted for 5.9 seconds. And the Grand Highlander will be even slower than that due to the extra size and weight. As for the price, it's obvious that the Grand Highlander with the Max Hybrid will go over $60K, do you honestly expect them to price it in the mid-$50K's like the Crown sedan with the same engine?
The competitor for the other mainstream 3 rows will be the 2.5T version of the GH which will be below $60K loaded.

This vehicle also comes with two other powertrains also...which will compare with vehicles that are around $10K less.

Yeah. I think you are right. There will be a premium over the Palisade and Telluride because of the HP, and fuel efficiency superiority. Materials might be a wash or in favour of the Koreans. Need to look up Traverse now

They are really spacious, but outside of that unimpressive.

Agreed. The launch of the current-generation Explorer was a quality-disaster, and, even now, its reliability is well-below-average. When I did my MM-Review, I was not at all impressed, particularly with the quirky interior design features.

Why are some people so hung up on the 0-60 times on a family hauler anyways? Shouldn't you care more about how it accelerates when merging onto the highway or how the power is like for city driving? If all you want to do is drag race other cars at red lights, just get an Escalade V or something like that lol
The Hybrid Max will be just fine for everyday use... I bet its much more useable than the V6 b/c of the low end torque from the three electric motors, while the turbo fills in the gaps everywhere else. Will it be as smooth? Probably not...

Again, there is no 2.5l turbo hybrid with 3 electric motors and a CVT. Unless they developed something specifically for the grand highlander, it should be the same options as the, say, crown crossover - either a 6at 2.4t with a rear e-axle (making it "AWD") or a classic eCVT 2.5na.
