It's interesting that, time after time, manufacturers get blasted for eliminating hard buttons for frequently used functions like A/C, and auto makers keep disregarding those complaints and keep eliminating A/C hard buttons. I can accept it for radio controls because there's still hard buttons on the steering wheel, but eliminating all A/C buttons (especially heated seats and steering wheel) is questionable.

How do ppl drive Suvs this size with 4cyl engines?!
I got a 4cyl X3 loaner when my car was in service and I couldn’t wait to go back to my car. The engine was sufficient when i got the 4cyl 330i but not in bigger/heavier X3. The BMW 4cyl turbo is way superior than what VW offers.

Clean and elegant interior design. Boxy exterior is appropriate and appreciated. Front light bar is cheesy and gimmicky.
Overall, a nice package. Just not confident VW has improved their reliability.

I know a bunch of people that have them, and they love them. Reliability is a little iffy, thats probably why the owner satisfaction is low in CR. In a 3 row crossover though there isn't much to dislike in an Atlas...

As someone who drives a CX-9, I can only guess that it's because I haven't been spoiled with a true luxury SUV yet. Most modern turbo4s in SUVs spool up very early, so they don't feel as underpowered. They do 0-60 in 6 to 7s, which is perfectly fine at this price point. And these drivers probably spend a lot of time with the radio on and passengers/kids in the car, so they wouldn't get to enjoy winding out the car in silence very often. Also, with the CX-9, the cabin is isolated well enough to feel smooth and fairly quiet during my daily drive.

The V6 in this is replaced with a turbo 4 that gets the same power the old V6 did.
