This is the second refresh of the Atlas, and this one includes a much needed interior refresh. This is a great vehicle, huge inside and feels very premium:
To be honest, I don't think the Atlas's pre-refresh interior was that bad-looking at all. I actually prefer the screen integration before. Material quality likely won't change with the redesign either.
I'd be willing to bet material quality has slightly gone down. And they cost-cut the center console to the ****ty touchscreen with touch climate control that doesn't light up at night. I thought there were some recent headlines about VW going back to buttons.. guess that's not happening.
I'm a big fan of the way that VW does the clean, simple, uncluttered rectangular look of their interiors and boxy exterior styling (the way that sedans and SUVs should be styled IMO....it gives good space-efficiency. I'll admit, though, that they don't always use the best materials inside, and the quality of assembly can be spotty.

Looks really good.

That's a shame IMO I hate to see that in a SUV this size.

I'm starting to think we are out numbered and most people want those big screens.

VW's always have the VW thing about them lol
I can't really describe it but have their own style that's for sure.
I like their products but question their reliability from what people say.

Why on earth would they want to go back to buttons? Americans (and really everyone else in the world) can't seem to get enough touch-screen usage so of course they, along with all other car manufacturers, should follow suit and place a giant touch-screen on top of the dash, that not only looks atrocious but using it is dreadful, among other problems, so everyone can go nuts over it.
