why are Toyota dealers still charge markups on their hybrid models?

Im not sure. But they only make one option for the Sequoia. It now has primitive 1980s four wheel drive when the past two sequoias had a full time option. Gained weight too with a 6200lbs curb weight. Apparently the Sequoia hybrid max motor set up was not made for fuel economy efficiency (according to the you tubers if you believe them). But Not really sure if that is true.
I think I am personally done with Toyota when I buy my next vehicle. Was kinda let down by the Toyota offerings at the Toronto Auto show. Sequoia was a big big let down. I can’t believe their infotainment systems were non operational. The only brand at the entire show with blank screens
I have no idea what target market you fit into.

Pole Position
Toyota sells every Sienna they make. They can’t make enough of them. That said, no other brand offers a hybrid only model with awd in all available trim levels. I remember there was so much criticism on the direction Toyota took with the Sienna..looks like Toyota made the right decision

I am really not sure. Raising the MSRP is likely not in the best interest for Toyota long term.

can we please have ability to pin responses? or upvote for Best of ClubLexus?
Toyota dealers have been among the most egregious ADM'ers. Mostly because they feel they can because many of their shoppers are blindly loyal sheeple for better or for worse.

Now, if Kia/Hyundai can finally build an engine that doesn't feature 600 recalls for this and that, then they will finally be on the right track.

Obvious answer - because they can. A much more interesting question - why doesn't Toyota just raise the MSRP and wholesale prices instead of letting the dealers capture all the windfall profits. Especially when they complain about lower profits due to increases in the cost of raw materials. I do not have an answer for this.
Toyota warns ‘unprecedented’ raw materials costs could cut profits by 20%
