Independent Shop\Mechanic

I'm surprised that my search for a recommended independent shop or mechanic in the Chicagoland area came up empty.

Anyway, does anyone have any trusted recommendations ?

I'm more interested in having a quality trusted mechanic as an option to the dealer. I will need to have the 90,000 mile service done in a few months though.
