Hey guys,

There is a new Illinois traffic law in affect, from Jan 01, 2004. On Illinois expressways and tollways drivers can get ticketed while driving in the left lane and not moving to the right lane, slower lane, while there is a car behind them. Of course, this is not in effect while congested traffic, the exist ramp in on the left, or the weather is forcing the drivers to use the left lane.

Hopefully this law will make travel on the Illinois expressways and tollways more enjoyable to all motorists.

now if everyone just knew about the law then we would be fine. i can't stand people that just cruise along in the left lane. and chris.......it's tollway not "tallway"

Man, I love this law.... but you're right lexos, no one listens. What's worse is the people in the center lane who speed up so you can't pass dude in the left..... Arrrrrrrrrrrrgh.!!!!
