window tint?
hey guys,
Can you recommend any good places for tints? I went to mr. kustom on irving pk and I'm satisfied with the results. But now I'm thinking that I may have overpaid.

I had my Audi a4 done a year ago at Shaded Days in Libertyville. All glass was done except the windshield using Llumar 35%. They were recommended by the Audiworld members -- price was $240 and included a rental car while they were doing the job. My guess is a touch more for a gs, with the two part rear side windows, not sure though.
The install looked great. Once piece back window with very nice 3rd brake light cut. I'll probably by driving my gs up there in the spring to get 30% Llumar or 3m and maybe some xpel/3m clear protection on front of car and mirrors.

In case there's any interest from club members, our rate for tinting is:
$179 for 5 windows
$224 for 7-9 windows
This already includes the 10% discount that CL club members receive for all technical services. Solarguard tint is used & includes a lifetime warranty on the tint & install.
We also apply 3M clear polyurethane on front/mirrors/headlights to prevent rockchips, etc. Price depends on vehicle, but your 10% CL discount applies to this service as well.
