Default local "clear bra" installers

I've been researching the whole "clear bra" thing for my new GX but was wondering if anyone around the Chicago area has any experience with getting one installed? I'm looking for installer recommendations, comments, suggestions, etc. - thanks!

I know a guy that can do it for you pretty cheap.

He comes out to your garage (if you have one) and installs it in 1-2 hours.

Let me know if you need more info and I'll give you the name / number.

I'm more concerned about quality of the install and would like to talk to your guy - PM me or leave the info here - I'd appreciate it!

Thanks!

Quality is top notch.
The guy takes his time and does it right.

Some members saw my car and like it - I have pictures for proof as well.

I'll go as far as guarantee the guys work.

I'll post his info on here later.

What material did he use (3M, Venture, etc.)? Was it a kit or custom job? Look forward to seeing the info (and pics if possible). Thanks!

I just bought an is300 and want to get the clearbra done too. What was his price ranges? I want to get the mirrors, hood, front bumper, and fogs/headlights done. Any differences between the 3M and Avery other than thickness?

Wow - this is an old thread...

All I can say is that Rick did both of my cars (GX470 & Acura TL) and did probably the best job I could have wished for - he is the only one I would go to in this area.

I used 3M on both - even though I really considered Avery for the TL. Ultimately it just came down to reputation - 3M's films have been around for many years and have a track record of performance. I also spoke to a 3M engineer who was very insightful as well. Almost 2 years later and my GX's film looks just like it did when it was applied.

Use Rick - tell him Marc from Plainfield recommended him...

I went to Body-skins at Elgin...ask for Rick. He did an awesome job...a bit pricey but he's very good and professional...does a lot of work for high-end dealers in the area including Lexus and Porsche...I've had my clear bra on my new GS350AWD for about 3 weeks now and highly recommend this guy...here's his website...

me know if you have questions...

I also recommend Rick from Body-Skins Inc. He's a great guy and does excellent work. He's done my old TSX and my IS so far. He also cuts the kits for a local installer here in Rockford...when I took my IS in to have my headlights done, he helped me trim up the hood piece that was done by the dealership/local installer. Huge difference between the local installer and Rick
