Excellent purchase! I've always admired the stealth appearance, better than average GM switchgear, power and "mod-ability" of the GTO.

Nice! Is that the stock exhaust?

I have a friend who has the same car with headers and full exhaust...sounds like a friggin big block! Crazy loud, but bad ***. He also has a CAI, cam and chip reprogram. I'm not sure if did pulleys and I'm almost positive there is no internal engine work like the valve job you have.

His was dynoed at like 385hp (also the 5.7L) and he's right at a 13 sec 1/4 mile. I saw him get a 13.01 and that was on 18" wheels. I was impressed with the speed of that thing...

Of course he still can't touch me on my motorcycle

My gf's godfather has a yellow one. I drove it this past summer & all i can say is: WOW!
It's definately a lot of car for the money. Man, i miss having a stick car!

real nice car had a chance to drive one at an auction. couldn't feel the real power cause it was wet out. so it was going everywhere besides straight on how great it sounds though

 

Very nice GTO. I really like the new GTO, especially once I sat in one, WOW. Everyone says that it looks too plain, but I really like it. =) Then again, I like ugly cars, like the original MR2 and the Grand National

I was later selling the car on the GTO and LS1 forums for 20K since Carmax was giving me 19500 for it.

Rob could have saved thousands if he needed only 4 weeks earlier, oh well.

Enjoy the ride, I know I did. Sold it to start saving for a C6 Z06.
