i drive the sc year round. as long as you dont do anything stupid you should be fine. driven it in the winter for 3 years and never got stuck or came close to hitting anything yet *crosses fingers. the only bad thing i dont like in the winter when there is serious snow on the ground is braking. i'm sure itd improve with dedicated winter tires but i just used all-season bridgestones for the winter time and its fine.

besides when the streets are empty, it can be an enjoyable ride even if you get on it just a little bit.

winter tires solve all problems.
all seasons allow you to get 'by' but you got to be a little more careful.
summer tires are dooable, but forget about driving in more than 1 inch / unplowed streets.

in all cases use 'common sense' - use the 2nd gear / SNOW ECT setting

My GS400 has been the best car in the snow that I've owned.

I've driven an Escort, Civic, Acura CL, another civic and a 540i, and none of them compare to the GS in the snow (BMW had snow tires, GS has all seasons)
