i'd rock a 400. pretty sure the 300 are open dif and that isn't fun in rwd in the winter.
my 400 is unstopable in the snow. with "snow mode" traction control and blizack tires its very easy to control, stops great, and goes where you want it.

BTW...if I end up finding a Cinnabar, I'm going to put this sticker in the rear driver side window:

Amul, Cool. You know that I'm always up for a meet, S2000, Lexus, or otherwise...actually, we could have it at the dealership I think that I'm going to buy the car from. Maybe as a collective, we can convince the dealership to sell me the car at $19k (or less). If that happens, I'll buy the food and the beer for everyone.
So here's the car:
*2002 GS300 Onyx Blue, Black interior.
*37,000-38,000 mile
*1 owner
*Still has balance of factory warranty (not sure what it is), and includes a 6 yr/60k mile engine and power train warranty.
*I test drove it today, it drive the best of all the GS3/GS4's I've test driven thus far (the e-shift was more responsive on this car than any other GS).
*The car has been sitting at their lot for at least 3 weeks....hopefully they are more willing to deal.
*Asking price is $23,000
What do you guys think? Good deal? Can I get better with this? What should I be offering?
Should I just look for a higher mileage, lower priced car?

It's your money, but you know my take on this......higher milage, 01-02 will save you mucho $$$............my ride quaility is above average...just need to iron our a small suspension rattle.
That's why I wanted to have a meet with more of the lexus guys...so they can drive my car and either tell me I have a problem, or I'm just ****.

Although the gs is a really nice ride, think about this, youre goign to spend near 23-24 grand for a 5 year old car, I know with these it aint much because they have a long "life-span" but it would be still sticking in my head that I paid so much for a 5 year old car. If its going to be the wifeys car why not just get a coupel year old es330 and call it a day?

I have all the finance books for this past month, you'd be a higher rate than normal cause the bank loan value is not that high. Unless you have like $4K to $5k down.
PM me know if you need to talk to a auto loan specialist. My better-half's father is a total auto loan guru, he does all the dealerships in a 30mi radius of Crystal Lake.

Not yet....still waiting to hear back from Raceredi. He's selling his GS430 fully modded. I can't get a hold of the guy...I know he's busy with the race season and such, though.
Within a week or two, I'm going to have to make a "car move" so it's either his, or get one local to me.
Tom, yup...whoring out as usual.
