Default Wheel Repair - Pot Hole Damage

Hello, I hit a nasty pot hole a couple weeks ago merging onto 355. Needless to say, my Moda R6 wheels are now bent.

I was going to purchase some new wheels but can't find any in the $250 price range which I like.

Long story short, I think I am going to get them "unbent". I have been doing some research and talked to a shop in Utah which does it, and it sounds like if the shop has the correct tools the repair can be done successfully.

It looks like there are a few local shops which do this work, has anyone worked with them or know someone which has brought their bents wheels there? Thanks in advance..

Wheels America, in Arlington Heights
Transwheel, in Addison
Keystone, in Chicago

i've dealt with wheels of america on countless occasions. they do really good work and are pretty quick as long as your not looking to chrome dip the wheel.

My guy cracked a 22 on the Kennedy and got it comp'd. Since you were going on 355, it may not work for you, but then again, maybe you weren't on 355 after all...

Try IDOT Claims...

Does Wheels of America still charge a flat fee, even for minor damage like a scratch repair?

I'm pretty sure it's still a flat fee. I called them a while back and it was a flat fee even to polish out some scratches.

As far as the claims you usually have to call the law to come out to you. I mean, you could go to a station and report but its always better to have them come out, make a report THEN you have a better chance of getting compensated by the state or city.
If you look at tires sub-forum there is a link of this guy that got his 2pc wheels fixed. It looked like a great job.
