Hi again,

I have been here since the 10th and am loving being in Chicaogland.

Started work las week and that is great.

We are buying a place on Aldine near the lake so that is out of the way.

I have been taking the train to work. The Metra lot in Lake Forest looks like a Porsche and Aston dealership. No shortage of coin up there.

I have seen a bunch of new IS cars around town.

This morning I went out the shop at the Jewel on Ashland. When I came out I saw a new white 350 with g spiders and the body kit and a dealer plate.

I stoppped to say hello and mentioned that the car reminded me of my own car (that is 1000 miles away).

It turns out its was the GM from McGrath, Mr. Simon and we had a very nice conversation. Since the new IS came out that is all he wants to drive.

Looks like I'm late to the party. I just moved from the Grayslake area(my house is still there being rented at the moment) to the San Francisco area. But looks like you've already picked a place to live. Hope you like it there. Commuting will be a pain if you drive, but looks like you're taking the metra(good choice). I lived in front of the Grayslake Metra station and commuted into Deerfield.

What kind of S2000 did you come from?

I went from an 02 Sebring S2K to a 06 IS350 Glacier Frost, then back to an 06 Laguna Blue S2k. Now I'm looking at Black on Black IS350's.....

As far as Abbott goes, heard its a good place, but depending on the outlook of the division watch out for restructurings. Rumor mill stated Abbott may sell off Abbott Park to GE Healthcare? And then move north of the border into Wisconsin?? Not sure. Just rumors that I've heard.

Sorry for the slow reply as I have not had much internet access in the last month.

My S2000 was an early year 2000 (white on red). I got the car after a ton of searching in October of 99. The car was bulletproof but too uncomfy when I changed jobs and needed to commute some. It went to live with a nice lady in Virginia.

Abbott is a great place to work! I would not comment of the rumor mill stuff.

Chicago has been awesome. I landed Octover 10th and I have seen 7 plays, 3 movies, 2 concerts (Waterboys, Wallfowers), 1 Art Exhibit (Sofa) and 1 Comedy Show (Horatio Sanz).

I am back in Boston for the Holiday and was happy to drive my car again (all the way to the dealer to have the snow tires put on).
