Does anyone know of a place that repairs bent rims for cheap? As some of you know I bent on of my NA rears and I was wondering if I should repair it of just buy another set lol. If anyone knows of a cheap place LMK.

 

well you can go to wheelsamerica.com i believe they have a location in arlington heights. had a few friends use them, turned out very well.

or buy my supra tt wheels heh.

 

Do they do restoration?

My wheels are not damaged, but need some polishing.

I have another set of wheels that also need restoration and painting.

Ohhh.. i know these guys.

My buddy who owns a bodyshop sends wheels to this place. They are great for fixing structural damages, but they are not so good at painting/cosmetics.

 

LOL i've found many sets of TT rims for as low as 300 with tires but I've been thinking about my brand new tires for these na wheels and I don't want to waste them... lol

 

$300, Where? Which stock rims do you have. I have my stock rims taking up space in my garage?

 

Just people I know and local deals that I get lol. I got the ugly stock turbine rims on my car right now.

 

Buy a new set

 

Yeah it would be better just to buy a new set lol!

This have to be the worst experience I ever had with car repair.

here is a short story..

after getting a check up for my 15K mile check up, I dealer told me that I should get a new rim since it was slightly bend . which will cost me $500. So I told them that I would have to look for more options before I buy a new Rim. So on a way home I stop by that repair shop to see what it will cost me to fix my rims. They said that if I leave the rims for couple days, they could fix them for 150. so i agreed to leave the rims there, so couple of days later i picked up the rims . After I picked them up, I also made an appointment to drop off my car at Arlington Heights dealership to fix my rattle that is coming out of my dash board. 20 miles from the rim shop, my tires shredded!!! I almost got into a huge accident!! it also did damage to my wheel liner. which also cost me 250 to fix. so next day I went to the rim repair shop and told him what happened. and what they are saying is that the rim job has nothing to do with my accident and they are saying it was the tire. But I Clearly asked them three times if the tires were okay. I remember them taking the tire and the rim to the shop and coming back out in 5 mins and telling me that everything is okay but the rims!..


I just wish that I didn't walk into that shop. This is just costing me more money and time that i just don't have. So my advice to you, is DON'T Go to this place.

 

well is it an expensive rim? you can try gold coast in the city. its on division and hooker street. its like 4 blocks away from mcgrath lexus. my friend had some benz amg wheels with like a 1 inch curb rash and he was **** about it. he brung it to gold coast. i didnt even know the difference. i know a guy there, he used to work at bodywerk but now manager at gold coast. they do great work, they might be pricey. call for quote.

 

How about a place on the south suberbs of Chi town? Or, Chicago.
Algonquin is way up there for me.
