Bad week fot the 460....
My car was @ McGrath all week getting my suspension checked out, It had a rattle coming for the rear passenger side. They tell me the rattle is from some brackets that came loose on the top of the strut. It cost me $390.00 for the repair since it was due to my 22's and air controller.
Friday night someone did a hit and run my car when it was in front of my house! I got a quote for $450 so far, It just sucks that my car is going to be in the shop again....

Sorry to hear. It will be done in NO time and you will be back on the road. McGrath is great with the service and taking care of stuff. I have used them for hears and been nothing but pleased with everything.

They told me the wheels are to heavy from stock and the low profile tire causes to much strees on it

My aftermarket set of MRR HR2's in chrome where lighter than the two sets of OEM wheels and tires I've had on my GS. The Lexus OEM setups are pretty heavy to begin with.
As for the low profile tires increasing clunt force to the suspension, there's some hypothetical truth () to it. But the burden to prove it is on the dealership...they need some factual basis to deny your warranty claim, not an educated guess. If they don't give a valid denial based on actual fact, then they are in violation of the Magnuson-Moss Act.

Do you know what the weight difference is between the aftermarket 22" wheel and tire from the OEM wheel and tire setup? My guess would be that the difference wouldn't be much, in fact, it may even be less.
