Hello Chicagoland. I was wondering if anyone has gotten the engine rattle TSB done on their 2IS? If so, which dealership and did they give you any hassle? My car has been rattling more frequently and I'm looking to get this done since my car will be going in for the 20K oil change anyways. Please let me know. Thanks!

Mike had the problem. Not sure if he ever went in for the TSIB. It is pretty long procedure. The car will probably be in the shop for a couple days. You shouldn't have any hassles as you don't have any engine mods. Just complain about it and then let them know about the TSIB.

Yeah, I'm gonna try to see. I'm prolly gonna schedule something for next week. The rattle is killing me! It rattles every morning. I'm just afraid something major would happen down the road and I would be screwed if I'm out of warranty.

I've had my car for over a year now and I've heard the rattle maybe a total of 5 times. For a while I was contemplating taking the car in to have this looked at but I just don't know if it's worth it. I don't really trust dealerships.

that is why I didnt take mine in. however mine got really bad once it hit 20k miles. sounded like ****.

That's exactly where I am. I'm about to hit 20K and I hear it every morning when I start the car. I'm going to have it done when I take mine in for the 20K service. Most likely I will schedule it next week. I will keep everyone posted.
