Wheel repaid
So... I damaged my brand new &swiss wheels while they were in storage last winter. Someone happened to throw some garbage on top of them while they were in my garage. Unfortunately the garbage included snow and I guess the salt in the snow ate up some of the finish. Only two are really bad and want to have the face and lip refinished. Anyone have any experience with this? Oh and the face is aluminum and the lip is chrome. Theyre 3 peice wheels.
I'd like to have them looking pretty by next spring.
SOMEONE HELP!

Chris, you still have the GS4?
I had one of my rims done at WA...they did an awesome job but for chrome work they have a super long turn around time. I had it done over the winter so I didn't really care how long it took.

Hiding out. Not really, just busy with too many things. Haven't paid much attention to the GS as of late and everytime I log on this damn site I end up wanting to buy something else that I dont need. Damn CL.
Still got her. Since she's paid off I'm thinking of doing some work on her and keeping her for another year or so. I was going to pull the trigger on a 550 er something but with the economy being in a slumps (as well as my pockets) I opted to stick with good ol' trusty.
What is WA? Where are they located? Where theyre prices reasonable?
On a different note, did some guy call you for detail work?

Wheels America. The Chicago facility is actually right by my work in Arlington Heights. www.fixrim.com
Yeah your buddy with the Supra called me. We never met up because he could only do Sundays (I had tix to the Bears games). Then it just got too cold. Thanks for the reference though; he was a cool guy.

I havent talked to them yet. Rico did and they told him that price for my rims. I have to wait for winter to be over since that is what I use the OEM rims for. They told him it would be less if there was more work. I want them done but I dont have an extra set of winter tires/rims to throw on the car to have them done at this time. Just call them up and see what they say I am pretty sure they are local to you.

Guys we have a new vendor in the CL vendor section that can powder coat.
Maybe they can help out with your wheels? They are not local but have some really good prices and I am going this route instead of painting so it will last longer through winter. Go check out what they can do!
I am impressed with what they have to offer.
