Default Where to program TPMS sensors?

Hey everyone! I just bought a set of TPMS sensors. Where did you guys take your sensors to be programmed? I just called McGrath and they are saying it's an hour job for $140 even though I can get them the numbers off the sensors as I do not have the tires mounted yet. As I understand it, it's a 15 minute job and I think $140 is a bit high. Any input would help. Mike? Vik? Anyone? Thanks!

Dang Mike! You got the hook up! Yeah, I was just seeing if anyone has gotten it done for cheaper. I think I'm going to try to call a couple of Toyota dealerships tomorrow.

^ yea well you got the hook up on your rims I think Toyota should be able to do it. Go to the service drive and tip the guy and ask him to have it done as a complimentary service

A Toyota dealer is your best bet. I had my winter rims with TPMS programed for ~$50.

I wheels were fully assembled but I had the numbers already so they just plugged in the diagnostic tool and typed them in. Super easy if you have the wheels on the car and the ID numbers written down.

They also have readers they can use once the tires are on the car. You may get someone to do you a favor and have them read after the tires are on the car. Bring in a couple dozen doughnuts for the guys, it never hurts.

Thanks guys. Thanks for the tip John. I'll just write down the numbers before going in. I guess I'll call a couple of Toyota dealerships tomorrow.

KC, I don't know of anyone yet. I may try and get alignment done and have them throw in the programming for free. I'll let you know how it goes.

I just called the Walmart in Franklin Park and yes, it's $20 per wheel. Thanks for the tip Brian!
