I want to strongly advise you against this although it is easy to do. One member on here grounded out his control unit and it cost him over $2k as the dealer would not warranty and they will know if this wire hack is performed. I just want to save you from the headache. How often would you watch dvd's anyway?

Grounded out means the wiring harness, and both the nav/radio/climate controls. Extremely expensive.

Isn't there a plug in kit out there? This might be a way to go since you wouldn't have to cut any wires.

It's not just the DVD playback that is enabled. There are other functions that can be accessed while moving that come in very handy.

Yes,

Like programming while driving. IMHO, not worth the risk of tampering with and many will agree. Dealers are on the attempted Nav/Hacks and tell people to get lost when they moan about warranty issues.

I would highly recommend getting your hands on the plug & play kit.

Google "NAVI-KIT R-Spec TTN-46" and see what you can find. I have had mine for over a year now with no complaints.

I watch/listen to a lot of concert DVD's but maybe I am the only one.

Safety First.
