Cops never know the correct laws. If this does pass (which it wont) cops will still be giving tons of tint tickets.

Do they expect all cops to carry a device that can tell the % of the tint.
Just think about how much money that would cost for every cop car to have the device.
Its not going to happen

I wouldn't say every single cop is going to have it, probably the parking ticket guys, or maybe some traffic cops. Now that it's legal, cops will probably give you the tint ticket anyways, and you'd have to find a way to disprove it in court. The device would just be like a photometer or light device.

Now that its legal, you might even get more hassle and routine stops, like seat belt checks, that also check for tint levels too.

I had my tint done by Cesar on Saturday morning. As of Sunday night I am still seeing bubbles in each of the windows. Some are clear which I believe will go away. There are also some that appear as white dots from the outside. Will these go away with time or do they need to be redone?

Thanks,
kd

It should be fine. It takes a little longer for the bubbles to go away since it's cold out. If they're still there after a few weeks, then i'd take it back in.

Here ya go, this is pulled from my motorcycle forum. A bunch of these guys are getting their cages done by ceasar also.

Ceasar @ Logan Square Auto Accesssories: 2436 N. Milwaukee

Film: Johnson Film ??? Never heard of this, but he says he's never had an issue, and the guy that referred me to him has no issues with his tint.
Warranty: Lifetime
% offered: 5, 15, 20, 35, 50

Pricing:
Sedan = $140
Coupe = $120
Trucks (2 windows ONLY) = $40

Days Available: Mon-Sat, 9-5.

You may call Ceasar to ask more questions or set up a day to come in.

Also:

On 10/30/09 bill HB3325 was passed allowing passenger vehicles to
have window tint on both front windows. Here’s the breakdown:

up to 35% for front and rear windows
30-35% in the rear and up to 50% front
If rear windows are tinted below 30%, front windows cannot have tint.
Vehicles equipped with factory rear tint are allowed to have
up to 50% tint for front windows.

I pulled this from:
http://www.umbrawindowtinting.com/
