i do agree that 19"s would look better but if you want most performance, the rule of thumb is to get the smallest diameter wheels you can to clear your caliper. Don't forget sticky tires.

I rode in another members 2IS with 19" Volks but they felt really good actually. With the price of 19"s tires getting reasonable, I'd say get 19"s also .

^ yea the IS has decent size tire on 19" rims. Most cars with 18" rims dont have that much tire.

After driving the GS for a few months on the 20's its really a good ride. I was expecting it to be harsh. I think with the coils the ride will only get better for me also.

No, I didn't raise up, but you are close to where I am at. What coils you getting?
