Need Suggestions on winter tires & where 2 go.
Good morning everyone;
I hope all of you are doing well? Just wanted to say my first winter with my 350 & as soon as I got out of my garage I was sliding, lol. I was like already, I live in Elmwood park & my alley was icy & I was sliding already. So I am asking this time if you guys can tell me please where I can get some winter tires & a place to go get them. I was talking to one of our members & he had some rims with winter tires but I do not have that much cash. Money is tight so if anyone has any suggestions, greatly appreciate it. First I was going to get a winter car, than some rims with some winter tires, no money for neither, so my last option is some winter tires. So thanks again for the help & hope to meet you guys sometime soon.

You can check out tirerack.com for ratings of various snow tires. Also Consumer Reports has some test data and advice. Then try to find a local shop to buy and mount at a reasonable price.
The "Best" snow tires will work well even on ice but will wear out very quickly. Also the speed rating is lower then stock.
Good luck & it looks like you are going to need them by Wednesday!

I have Blizzak LM-25s on my IS350 and they work great! I would check out Tirerack. Check out the classified sections for used tires as well. I know someone at Discount Tire that can mount them for you for a good price in the NW burbs. Let me know if you want his contact info.

Thank you all for the info. I get right on it. I tried to get out of my garage today & started sliding, lol. I had to leave my car in the garage & take my wife to work. She has a truck. Thanks again & be safe.

^ perfect for the OP. I forgot you had these. Looks like a good deal for both and all you have to do is slap them on the car and go!!!
Mike I could have used your ISF spare today. Mine wont clear the BBK and had a nail in my front tire and well...what a treat at 8pm in the snow/freezing rain trying to figure how the heck to lift the car when the jack wont fit now that I have a flat tire.

I bought Blizzak's for my car last year.
Wow, what a difference. I was flying by SUV's in the snow.
I have a GS and man it makes the car drivable in the winter.
If you have a rear wheel drive car, snow tires are a must.

The car handles as well as can be expected with those tires.
ps, picked up some weather tech Floor Liners last week. WOW! So much better than the mats that came w/ the car.
