Anyone here located in the Rockford or Dekalb area?

I'm pretty new the the Lexus game. I picked up an SC400 shell not to long ago and have plans for dropping a 2jz-gte into it. It would be pretty sweet if there were some people in my local area to meet up with and or Cruse when I finally get the car together.

When it gets warm, I'll be working pretty hard on the car.

Let me know if you know someone who might be interested in buying my SC300 5speed. It already has a GTE motor in it, installed By Sound performance.

 

How much do you want for it?

 

I bought the car with it installed improperly and so...trying to drive it home from Houston. I blew the motor. So then I had it Shipped to Sound Performance and had them install a new motor. And got the Car working. All in all the motor installed cost over 8k.

 

I'm actually looking for a GTE for my car. But This isn't the place to talk about that. Why don't you send me a PM.

On topic, There's got to be a few more people around this area.

 

I live in Rockford. Work/school keeps me away from Rockford most of the time though

I think almost all the Lexus's in the Rockford area consists of ES, RX, and maybe a few LS. I think I see an IS once in a while...GS, SC are pretty rare around here.

 

Cool, Where do you go to school. My Roommate used to go to ISU (Iowa State) in Ames.

 

I live in the area (Sycamore) and work at NIU. Not much going on out this way for import car affairs. Schaumburg is the ultimate meet-up spot when the weather settles. Hooters seems like the ideal place as the parking west of the building on Golf Rd. has ample parking.

 

Cool, I'm often in Dekalb/Sycomore area. A few friends and I like to get coffee and chill at the Junction eating place.

 

The Junction is right across from my office, I work in University Plaza. That place has excellent food.

 

I'm in the Rockford area...Rockton actually. Went to NIU too. If you see a white modded IS250 AWD it's probably me. I drove out to the burbs often last year for meets...so lemme know/I'll let you know.

Junction...man the countless hours I've spent at that restaurant...

 

I think I remember this place. Last time I was out there the joint across from the 7/11 gas station on Annie Glidden was called "The Jungle"

lol...I've only heard of the Jungle...
