Cool Mcgrath Lexus in Chicago

Hello everyone. I hope all is well with you & your families? I am asking you guys for your advice on what to do about what happened at this dealership. I took my car in last Thursday for the valve spring recall & picked up my car yesterday. When I dropped it off I told them I had a body kit on my car & to be careful not to damage it. Well, when I got it, it was scratched in the bottom. You can't see it, & it is not bad, but it did get scratched. I told the rep. b4 I left that they scratched it & he said they did the best not to scratch it, and that they are sorry. I was thinking it will get scratched by me eventually, so should I make a big deal? It is the Wald kit, & you can't see it. So please let me know & thanks again for your input.

No surprise. They are worthless. Although most dealerships are nowadays.

Agreed.

If you can see it, have them touch it up, maybe a free detail?...

Wow! Sorry to hear that also. I guess dealers just fix your cars & drive them out without any worries about scratching them up?

my guess is that the lip got scratched when they were doing the free car wash, the entrance to the rear of the car wash is very high and even at stock height i have scraped before, my friend works there so i have been back there and can tell you first hand that the rear entrance sucks

just a question for those who have mods and brings it in to mcgrath for w/e reason

IMO, when your car's low and has a kit, and you give it to someone else to drive that isn't familiar with driving a car like that, it's not even a risk, it's likely a scratch or two will occur. I'd ask 'em to touch it up for you, though.
