Autobahn Joliet Day
The day after Wekfest. It's Sunday Autobahn time. It was a great 1st experience tracking my car. But I would have to say, it was a good idea that I went with good tires on my HREs (Pirelli Pzeroes) rather than a lower quality brand, as I would have to give the tires props for making me look like I've done this before.
This is a chance for anybody to test the limits of their car or just to pretend they're a racer for a short moment. $50 for 5 laps, about 15-20 mintues is a heluva rush. It was great and I would definitely do it again. I believe it is only open to the public only a few weekends a year. 5 cars follow the lead car driven by the track expert in either a C63, CTS-V, E55, or F. Your job is to keep up with the pack as a follower.....
As you can see by some of the race-spec cars, Autobahn is also home to some CEOs with lots of change. I believe membership is like $4K a month.
The line up. Notice that silver DBS V-12 about $270K there? It sounded every bit $270K. WOW! It was ashame, I wasn't in his group of 5. I would have loved to see how he did.
Final instructions from the guy we will be chasing, in a 2011 C63.

My friend in the corvette who has done this many times before, in front of me with his passenger taking pictures, pretty much rode the C63's **** all day, and I wasn't far behind, even though it was my first time. Our group became separated, as the other 3 behind cound not keep up. Man, it was fun! Fun! Fun!
