i got a pm, from someone at vossen and they said i could buy them at discount tire. not exactly what i was hoping to hear. so i bought the lexani lss-10 since i can get them direct and at dealer cost. i would have bought a set of vossen if i could have gotten a deal, so a potential vossen sale was lost.

Why didnt you sign them up as a supplier/vendor at your shop them? Makes sense they don't deal direct with the public. Discount would have give you a great deal IMO, yes they have to make a few $$ also.

Id rather take care of our sponsors and spend a few more $$ for their help and support to CL and to our local group. With out them we don't have any of this

i would not have minded at all to spend my money on vossen wheels, however from the response i was given, it seemed that they didnt want to give me a deal, nor did not offer me a deal or give me a price when i was pm'd

"Saw your post, we don't sell directly but you can purchase Vossen at Discount Tire or at the vendor below, thanks! They are Vossen CV2 20x9 and 20x10.5 silver finish".

How can they offer you a price if they do not sell direct??? If you had asked to become a retailer of their products Im sure they could give you prices but not sure how he would know that was your intention from what you had posted.

my intention was not to be a direct dealer at all. i only asked to be pm'd with a price. no one pm'd me with a price at all, and said discount tire, so i took that like they didnt care if i bought them or not. at least they could have said hi steve we can surely get you a good deal! here is a price....and so forth. but none of that happened. i would have glady paid the retail price with a lil bit cl discount , had i been offered that.

im not disapointed or have a grudge at all, i just bought some other rims because i was given a price and it was fine.

They cant give you a price or quote out a price on behalf of a retailer. That would be like me going to a Audio Source direct and telling them I want to purchase and they give me a price of say cost and say to go to your shop. All they can probably do is say MSRP is...

Now if your not familiar with CL we have a Vendor Section and you will get CL discounts if you purchase from them and of course they know your a member of CL. Plenty of vendors offer Vossen rims.

Oh well was just trying to help out those were some bad @ss looking rims for the IS. Becoming a retailer of Vossen locally would be a great idea if you ask me since there really are no local shops offering it. Good way for you to become a member and help support the local group IMO

no offense but, when i say " hook up " to me a hook up is like me saying ill tint any cl members ride for $100. now thats a hook up. just saying thats all. had mike said hey steve call this number and let them know i told them to hook u up with a cl deal, i would have called and possibly bought a set. see what im saying, its all about how one communicates with another.

haha yea. Expecting to be hooked up with a deal.. to find out youre being hooked up with a product at retail price. ughh.

I understand why the manufacturers dont want to step on their dealers' toes by selling the product cheaper.. but most of the small time vendors are soo bad: don't get back to emails, poor customer service, waiting months to get the product from the manufacturer, and then having to front money before they even have the product!

well you pay to play and waiting is the game when it comes to our cars. You can always buy cheap knock-off **** and get it quicker and complain how it doesnt fit and looks like crap or took hours of work to make it look like it should have lol.

We do have some good MFG of authentic parts in the states but not the support many other cars get. I hated this part of having a Lexus but nothing we can do.
