Helmet info (from Lexus school thread)
depending on the racing organization, u'll need to buy a snell certified helmet: M (motorcycle) or SA (special application - for race cars; has fire retardants) spec. I bought a low cost full face HJC snell m2000 rated one online (after getting a good fit at the honda schaumburg bike dealer hehe), along
w/ smoked visor. i think it was in the $130-150 range + 20 for smoked fog resistant visor.
Helmets are usually good for ~15 yrs from cert date, so cost isn't too bad at all (i can use mine til 2015). Of course, plenty of helmets cost more, but hey i'm not gonna be flying off a bike. Not planning on crashing & burning in my car either. haha famous last words =).
anyhow be sure to get a good fit, as different brands may fit VERY differently. For example, i wear medium for HJC but would use small for Bell.
u can go to your local motorcycle dealers or if ur near Schaumburg, go to the store for
