damm my puter is infected, cant post on fb cuz it'll post some virus link, cant click like and AIM force closes on opening... guess im going to have to BUY a anitvirus program...
according to my Security officer at work, you can use the free version of Panda Antivirus. he said that works great.
I've been using free AVG on my home PC for over a year now. Works OK.
I tend to buy whatever is cheaper every year for a multi-license version for the shop. Tends to be the generics though: McAfee, Norton, Kaspersky (this year).

Is it a virus or adware/malware? Try malwarebytes...http://www.malwarebytes.org/. It can usually clear most of the stuff that AV doesn't pickup or doesn't fix.
If not, I do what chris does, but I check with CNET to find the highest rated AV software and get #1 or #2. Usually is Panda or Kaspersky. I haven't had problems with AV or adware since 2001.
Norton is great for protection, but slows the computer down in the process. I'd stay away from that.
