i finally made it to recon but due to max specifications on the tires I they wont let me pass. the weight ration is less than what is specified. I really dont want to spend a grand on new tires at the moment so if any of you guys have a spare set of stocks or set to loan me to pass so I can get going to be legit would be greatly appreciated. Even a reference to a place I could get some new tires would be great. I cant wait to get this taken care of so I could roll with the guys of 808.50 Its been a long time I got my hands dirty and cant wait to get the chance to help out my fellow car fanatics. i finally got pulled over tonight for no front plate. officer was super cool though, just checked to make sure i had my license and insurance and got off with a warning. i gotta remind myself not to drive through waikiki after i get off work at 12am.

 

Your lucky the officer was nice. Waikiki with modded cars is forbidden I can't even remember the last time I drove my car in waikiki. The only place I would attempt to take my car is the out skirts like Hilton Hawaiian village, Halekoa other than that you won't find me anywhere near there. Not even on the Ala wai.

 

Kurt is right man. Why do you drive there at 12am anyway? You should just go up kapahulu to jump right on to the freeway.

i know, i know. i just got off work and didnt feel like getting home in a rush and i wanted to think about a few things also, so usually i'll drive down by the ala wai, onto mccully, into china town, and then nimitz till pearlcity onto kamehameha.

 

I was admiring and following a nicely put-together S14 earlier this morning. We were both turning left and I was right behind him at the intersection. The light turned green and he inexplicably started going--right into oncoming traffic. Usually this manuever is done at speed, but this guy was taking it easy and it was raining hard.

The car in the first lane honked and I thought the S14 would clear the intersection only pissing off about a dozen drivers, but the car in the second lane did not slow down. I think I witnessed the death of yet another fine S14.

I'm seeing more and more people make crazy driving decisions or non-decisions. Stay safe people.
