Default safety inspection holder

For those of you who own those safety inspection plate/holder, where did you guys buy them? I know theres two types one that connects to the license plate screw the other you have to drill into your bumper. Im mainly looking for the one that isnt going to make me mutilate my bumper lol.

Thanks

Pacific Motoring Accessories in Sand Island has a few different ones and I think Ron's has them as well. Keep in mind that HRS requires the safety sticker to be affixed to the right quadrant of the bumper. There have been reports that HPD has been helping the safety inspectors crack down so be careful where you put it.

Eurosport has both types, the one that attaches to your bumper is cheaper then the other one. I just bought the one that goes next to your plate, didn't want to drill holes in my new bumper kit.

Yes, Eurosport carries them. I got mines from there...well, my salesman got mines from there.

I too didnt want to drill my bumper nor stick it on my bumper so I opted for the one I got now.

Yes I've seen some in Ron's by the registers.
As far as affixing the stickers on the right side of the bumper, that also is true since that's what the owners of the gas station that our family regularly does our SI at told me last year so I gave my plate away.

i have both...and got both of them from napa in kapolei.

i rather have the one that attaches to the license plate but i when i was going for recon, i had to switch to the bumper one otherwise it probably wouldnt have passed.

if a cop wants to be an ***, then he/she can harrass you and even ticket you for having the license plate one, and some stations wont affix a new sticker to that one either. i use to have to peel it off the bumper right after i got the safety check and stick it on the license plate one.

pic of the bumper bracket...i flipped it over so it's not hanging down and hopefully so it's harder for someone to try and steal it.

thanks for all the input. I think maybe ill get the bumper one, but try to attach it through some sort of adhesive or glue. I know glue is always bad when on a car but i prefer it to holes in my bumper lol.

I currently don't have one, but on my M Roady I had the bumper type.
I attached it to the lip/edge of the bumper with velcro and it never came off even while traveling at 130 mph at HRP.
The thought with the velcro is, if someone wants to steal your SI badly enough they will cut your bumper cover off to get it, this way they can have it and I'll just get another one.
As for getting a ticket for it not being in the proper place...well you could get a ticket for having something hanging from your mirror too, or some sticker on your windshield. If the po po wants to, they'll find something to fine you with.

You can buy those at Servco Lexus. I used to see it in their showcase all the time when I stop by the parts department. I bought the regular Recon one from Eurosport though.
