Anyone wanna go watch or enter? Some of the Prelude guys on another forum are going and I wouldn't mind taking some pics and watching the morning session.
Last time, Mardy, Andrew and I met up at 9 at Castle Park SB and rolled in after that. We watched the morning session and left when they broke for lunch at about 12:30.

FYI - I hope this info helps
I missed all last season, but I don't think the entry fee has changed, which is a $1, but to participate it will cost $40 for non-members and $25 for members.
You will need to know what class your car belongs in, and register on line, if not you'll need to be there as a walk-up regisrtant between 7 AM - 8:30 AM.
There are 4 heats and they will take the best of the 4 are your time for the day. You will be required to work at least 1 heat either prior to you heat or after your heat (i.e. you run heat 1 you work heat 2, you work heat 3 you run heat 4) or you time will not count and you may not be allowed to participate again for awhile.
Prior to the start of the first heat and the third heat, all drivers will be allowed to walk the course and take notes of the turn ins/outs and line etc. After the last heat of the day they usually have "fun runs" which cost $1 per run. This is the only time you will be allowed to have another person with you in the car. Both occupants will need to have a certified helmet and the passenger MUST keep arms inside the car at all times. The driver must do the same, but usually both hands are requied to be on the steering wheel anyway.
If you are a novice, you need to be there early in the morning and they will assign a driver to you to help you get acclimated with autox and show you some tips. If you are one of those that doesn't need anyone to tell you how to driver your car, then no one will be assigned to you. It's up to you as a novice.
My advice is to ask for some driving tips, it'll really help you and some of those drivers there really know their stuff...I have names if you need them.
Your times will be posted on the trailer for you to see later in the day.
If this is your first time, don't worry about NOT having track tires, learn on street tires first, it'll make you a better driver. Then when you get track tires you will start to progress much faster.
It's a lot of fun and teaches you how to avoid pot holes while driving on the streets. It helps you build reaction time and hand/eye coordination. This type of driving is much different than road racing (i.e. Super Laps, Track Days, Wheel to Wheel etc.) so don't get the two mixed up. Autox is NOT high speed driving as road racing is.
Have fun!
