Who wants a FREE set of Nittos?
I know someone who represents Nitto Tires. They want feedback on the Nitto Invo or the new Nitto NT05 due for release in Feb 2009.
The only thing is that you need to pay for shipping of the tires from the mainland US.
Tires need to be mounted asap...and then driven. An unbiased feedback on the tire is required after a period of time. No car show repping is required...at least thats what I know so far.
Im sure an application form, pics of your car, etc...is required. I'll find out more on Monday.
Im keeping this offer for CLH peeps only for now. If no CLH member is interested, I'll open it up to others.

Do they stretch well... well... isnt that the point of the 'testing them out' and giving feedback?

For all that are interested, here's a link to the tires. As far as shipping, geez, they're offering FREE TIRES!

Tire pattern is SWEET! But the UTQG, ride performance, and quietness are not for me.

I'm very interested if they come in 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I guess if I do get a set I'd have to pick up my rims from Samson already
Anyway, my guess for those that asked about tire stretch is if this is a manufacturer test study they will not want and probably not allow you to stretch the tires or use them on anything than approved manufacturer rim widths for given tire size. That probably means no 245 tires on a 10" rim

I wouldn't take them even if they were free. I had a set on my wife's car. I hated them. It takes a long time for them to warm up in the morning before they feel right. On the highway I always felt unsure of my footing. They were sort of quiet until past 15K miles but they are very hard. Once they are hot the grip is not too bad but in the rain, that grip disappears.
I sold the wheels to a neighbor and he took the tires. I told him not to put them on his car but he did to save some money. I saw him last week and the rubber is seperating off the tires. In shreads. That's something old radials used to do.
You couldn't give me a set of the Invo.
