Default Exhaust Today

So Im heading over to Rev after work, well during my self-proclaimed dinner break to get my tanabe put on.

For those of you who had exhaust installed on a 2IS, does the stock exhaust fit in our trunk? Im thinking not.

I could, but I have to go back to work (for any of you youngins out there, DON'T be a Public Accountant) when I am done getting it installed. So I am wondering if I can make it fit in my trunk.

I will probably try to just pick it up later with my grandpa's truck.

the stock exhaust is 1 piece, so there's no way it will fit in your trunk unless you cut it in 2.

+1 Wow, we had a mini CL meet today! We all knew you were coming so we came down to keep you company while you waited!

I was just thinking... You COULD get the CF overlays like George and not have to worry about the "spots". I still say, take it back to the dealership and see what they say.

BTW if you can wait til next week, I can fit the muffler in my RX.

Nice install done by revision like always.

Not sure on the mileage yet, I usually get around 300 miles per tank, I will update you later on this. I live like 5 min away from the 24hr in pearl kai, but I managed to make a 2 mile trip turn into 12 miles haha. I had to mess around with the new toy.
It could be my mind playing tricks on me, but it feels like there is a slight increase in the low end torque.

I know, we had a small party going on at Revision last night. Im not really into the CF look, but Im still thinking of a way to explain to servco of how those spots appeared without saying I spilled my coffee. I think they already wont like me just because my car is modded.

Yeah, Im pretty sure you are right. If anything I may have been just pushing the throttle harder to hear that sound, thus making me launch faster haha.

Hmmm, so the gas mileage thing. I usually get low to mid 22's per tank. I got 23.1 this tank, but I have gotten 23's many times. So I guess if the next 2 tanks both avg. 23 or higher I would say my mileage has improved.

I love the sound when I start my engine and accelerating on flat surfaces, but dam it is kind of loud when I accelerate up the hill I live on or up the incline on Moanalua freeway by the stadium.

Most people on the 2IS forum have said their exhaust gets louder after a few week break in period. Do those of you with exhaust agree? If so I might have to look into getting silencers, but removing it is not an option since I love the way it looks haha.

Oh on a side note, I drove my 2 co workers to lunch the other day. One a guy and one a girl, both in their mid 20's. The guy commented saying wow you car sounds mean, the girl in her exact words were "ryan!, wtf did you do to your car, its making a lot of racket now".
