Default tipping etiquette

i just bought a crapload of furniture tonight, and having everything delivered and carried up to the 2nd floor of my house. What is the proper amount to tip? its 2 couches, entertainment center, 6 chairs, and a dining table. oh btw i guess i can safely say im done modding the lex for rest of this year

depends on the complexity and care the delv person uses during the delv.
i had a new refrige delivered and installed, 2nd floor, tight turns, lots of obstacles, no scratches, bumps, just quick service

dropped 60

i have no idea if thats appropriate, but they seemed happy, and i was happy with the service.

^^ thanx i was thinking along the lines of 60 or so just cause its upstairs and get so much crap ehh dats more then 50% so i think that would be ok. just making sure there's no set standard like 15% at restaurants

do the party thing and potluck styles. but as ur wife first.....
dont worry collect 3 bucks for the party at the door and u make up ur tip and fee in no time.

Yeah, I'd probably break him off at least $20-$40, unless you can tell they're careless. If they take care of your stuff, I always feel like I should take care of them. Just a little something so they can buy lunch and maybe some green bottles after work.

Yea on the topic do you all tip Sonic employees?? IDK I mean I do but my friend today was like WTF?? Do you guys know if they get paid like a typical waitress (under minimum wage with the assumption tips will be earned)??

sorry bud, we dont have any sonic's in hawaii. They do like to tease us with their commericals of all their desserts for under a buck.... but i have yet to eat at a sonic.

OMG no I am freaking out. I will be moving there soon and let me tell ya it was hell convincing my wife to go with no Target there (not really just had to mention they didnt have now) but now no SONIC. Next you will be telling me there is no Chipotle.

not sure on chipotle, never heard of them. But as of a few weeks ago we have 2 targets on oahu.

Coco-ichiban? akas Curry house? maybe cocos for short? yah we got thats here, chain from Japan its off the hook as far as Japanese curry goes.
