Default Servco 2nd Annual Buyback event?

Just got a letter in the mail about "servco's 2nd annual buyback event". I'm tempted to trade in the F for an '09 LS or '09 RX hybrid, need more space for the baby Has anyone gotten this letter? Just wondering if this is a spoof or not?

I got the 1st Annual one last year and yes it was legit since I visited them for the details but I opted not to do it since they weren't asking much for my car. Besides, I'm happy with my car and didn't want to deal with more car payments.

IMO, I think it's another way of trading-in your Lexus for a newer Lexus at the Lexus dealer and they still make a profit since your car has depreciated from the time you drove off the dealership.

Still, it's tempting tho.

If you're serious and not in a hurry, I'm thinking of selling my GS then maybe we can work out a deal.

So what makes the buy back so special? Does Servco give higher trade in value for your Lexus or the usual "low" blue book value?

they just want to make themselves look good by selling....they have a quota to sell a certain amount of cars a month and this is a way to get people/ former customers down to buy new cars.

anyone ever got their car appraised at this or the last event? will be selling my is350 since i barely drive it (10,500 mi) but don't want to waste my time if they are going low ball me with the kbb fair trade-in price, then sales pitch me to buy a brand new one. i'm wondering if their buyback quote is anything close to the kbb value.

I got my letter a couple weeks ago too...I'm pretty sure Servco Lexus is not going to offer me what I want so I'm keeping mines for now. Looking for another toy tho.

My time selling cars for a stealership has made me skeptical. It just sounds like another way to entice people in and than work em.

"Rex" appraised me 2000 under kbb, its tempting, but still won't make me drop what i'm doing to go down to test drive a new car.
