How do people get sponsered?
Hey after reading a couple threads I saw that some guys are sponsered by a group or something and I was just wondering how people get sponsered. Thanks

What does your car look like? Its pretty much the same way you apply for a professional job. You fill out a resume (accomplishments, mod list, etc) and approach the company with pics and your resume and explain how you plan to promote the company's products or services.
What kind of sponsorship are you looking for? Products, services, or salary?

good question, i guess i will post up my 2 cents...
as far as sponsorship goes...todd is right. it is a 2 way street, you want something for free, the company want something back from you. often times it is form of advertising for them using your vehicle.
when it comes to me thru revision. i will be very honest, non of the cars are sponsored to a point where is free. team revision started with a group of friends and customers who enjoy this hobby and have the same vision on how their car would look. they appreciate the work i did for them and they are willing to rep the shop for free. and in return for their appreication i offer them parts and service at a discount rate. i help them prep their cars at shows. get their cars to be featured on manufacture sites, pass along special offer/one off parts to them.
and it is the same when it comes to me as a shop owner you guys probably wondering if i get my stuff for free..the truth is i don't. infact i don't expect them to. i love this hobby, i won't mod my car certain way just because the mod is free. i did alot of things for the manufactures, help promote their product line, and i don't expect for anything in return. i love their product that is it...incase you don't know i don't sell things that make the most profit. i sell only what i would use on my own car. but they see the hard effort i put in sometimes they might give me a little discount like extra 5% off...

But it's like everyone says you can't expect anything in return especially if you're just starting out. I only rep a few shops and do it just out of love for these shops. If you see my car I only run one sponsor on my car full time. In fact for the august show this will be the first time they have given me something to pass out.
Hope this helps you out man good luck

You dont necessarily have to enter shows to be be a part of team revision. I may be wrong on this, and i'm sure samson will correct me if i'm wrong, but its more then just having a bad *** looking car. and its not even having a bad *** lookin car.....look at mines...lol....
