We may be selling the Lex, but for how much
Ok guys, knowing how the economy is right now and how the car market is, what should we ask for our 2IS? The car is a '07 IS250, GFM with black leather, 14k miles, ML Audio system, factory front and rear reverse sensors, new tint, 19" AME CX's with new tires (less than 1k miles), H&R springs with recent alignment, Jun roof spoiler, and an OEM rear trunk lid spoiler, and recon. KBB puts the car (in stock trim) at $28,780 in excellent condition, and $27,380 in good condition.
There are not many aftermarket parts, but the car is in great shape (no dents or dings, very clean interior, only minor scratches on the rear bumper) and looks beautiful. What do you guys think is a fair price? I don't want to price the car too high and scare away any interested parties, but I feel the need to price the car more aggressively since the market kind of sucks. I don't NEED to sell the car, but wife will be giving birth any day now, and we kind of want something a little bigger. This is our third car, so it never really gets driven, so we're cool with waiting patiently for the right buyer. However, it would be nice to have a new toy to play with . So I ask you guys, what do you think is a fair starting price?
**I know, I know. This is kind of a silly question, but I was bored and figured I ask for some feedback before posting an ad.
PS: I miss coming out to the meets and talking Lexus. New work schedule....pregnant wife.....you know the drill.

Congratulations on the baby on the way!
I would post it for $27.5k obo. See what kind of responses you get and go from there. Or take it into a carmax dealership (not sure if they have one in HI). They do give pretty low offers but it will give you the minimum amount you will get if you are in a rush to sell. Good luck!

I thought about it, but it's pretty much just the wheels. Plus I figure they make the car look so much better, so I thought it may help the sale. I'll consider it though, if I can't sell the car as is.

I actually just posted pics and a for sale thread on Forums Hawaii, but am not really expecting major traffic there. WHo knows, I may get lucky. The car is in great shape and would be better off sold as is, however, if I find somebody interested in the car without the wheels, I would consider selling it without. The wheels themselves are in great shape, with very minor scratches (not even really curbs, but rather scratches) on the left and right front wheels. That's about it. And then, like I said, the tires are pretty much brand new.
