I'll be moving to Manoa, Oahu in August for school for a couple of years and I wanted to know which cell phone carrier has the best reception in the area. I currently have Verizon. Should I stay with Verizon or switch to a different carrier?

tmobile is THE best. you get more bang for your buck by far and ive never had a reception problem - in elevators, parking garages, in waianae, etc.

Verizon has the best coverage here on Oahu, AT&T 2nd. These 2 companies have the most repeaters on the island. Verizon almost never drops calls as well. If you already have Verizon, just keep everything as is. Everyone has a cell phone with long distance plans, so you can even keep your existing phone#.

If you're already with Verizon, just stick with it... now if your contract is about to expire then thats a different...

Do you have a smart phone? Verizon has no 3G in Hawaii if I recall. Or am I mistaken?

my mytouch has 3g so i dont see why verizon wouldnt. and yeah, if you are already with verizon under contract you might as well stay with it, no need to change.

I was planning on getting the droid or google nexus when it game out for verizon. I'll be sticking to verizon since a lot of people seem to like it.

i have tmobile and my friends verizon phone can get calls where my phone says no service.
