Default suspension question..

i was just wondering which coilovers go lower BC racing or megans? or if theres any other coils that go lower? thanks..

bc "extreme low" coilovers... yet, what do i know? i'm just a girl!

megans. but they have clunking noise. Megans go 4" and BC racing goes 3"

I'd go with whichever coil over that lowers the car with the lower mounts...and not at the preloads.

never owned Megans but have had bc coilovers for my husbands mazda3 and was so happy with it that we got it again for his speed3. we didnt even remove all the rings and it was super slammed. im still debating wether or not i want bags or coilovers for my sc =)

we where initially supposed to get the ksport which i heard was another good one.

i got bc on my 2is, at first i had no clue how to lower or raise the coilover bc has a weird way to do it, but when i finally figured out it slams, but i think megans slam lower cuz i had those to, but started to clunk on me so switched to bc

Depending on the coilover you buy...the newer style ones allow for height adjustment using the lower mounts...a better design...imo.

I had Tein CS v1 years ago...its adjustable only at the preload....mines blew eventually.

thanks pete. one last question. what happens if you loosen or tighten the preload?

Preload is adjustable, but not ideal for raising or lowering primarily.

With BC's or Megans they will adjust the same and go about as low in standard from. We can do an extreme drop kit for you as mentioned on a BC kit which will go really low.

It affects rides height as well as ride quality on coilovers with adjustment at preload. With adjustments at lower mount, ride height and ride quality can be tuned individually. That is why coilovers with adjustments at lower mounts are considered superior.
