just to let you know in all honesty not everyone pays msrp. i have seen more than a few non-employees of servco get lexus at the same price as employees. and employees come second to the customers when buying a new lexus.

for example, lets say an employee orders a specific model lexus and options. if a longtime customer or customer who knows upper management wants that lexus, they will take the vehicle and make the employee wait another few months or take whatever is in stock.

that is just what they want you to hear and think, but servco can not stop you from buying a lexus out of state.

but when you are buying a lexus out of state you will need to consult with the mainland dealer about warranty transfer. if you look in any mainland lexus warranty manual you will see that the factory warranty is only covered in the 48 continental states. so you will need to get a new warranty book from servco but you will have to fill out some forms. but again see and consult the mainland dealership as they can probably help you with the transfer.

the only other thing that might be considered a negative is that certain electrical components are specific to some mainland lexus which they will need to order. so down times may be alittle longer depending on what repairs are needed.

actually shipping a car from the mainland is really not that bad. especially if you are buying a car from a friend. most vehicle shipping companies will do door to door shipping, though expensive it is really quite painless and trouble free. though i know it is an added cost most times I would recommend added insurance for any long distance. or it could be that i am lucky as i have shipped in vehicles from california, oregon, seattle, las vegas, arizona, texas, new mexico, and new york. i even helped my friend bring in a vehicle from florida with no problems

and actually due to the economy, even lexus dealers in the mainland will help or even have shipping companies at their disposal. i would think any of the 5 star rated lexus dealers will be more than happy to help with shipping a new or certified pre-owned lexus

Well I stopped by servco today to negotiate and they came down to 40k OTD on a new 2012 IS250. My mom felt they didn't come down enough so we're gonna go again on wednesday. what do you guys think? They also have a 2011 used IS250 with 7xx on the ODO for about 36k OTD. My mom would rather pay 4k more for a brand new one and I would rather save the 4k lol.

They said that they were unable to go any lower on the MSRP price due to the fact that its a 2012 Lexus which I think is ridiculous...

So basically, they're giving you free taxes and you pay licensing fees.

If you are planning on paying that much, why not just buy a 350 instead of the 250?

Yup, I was going to say that too. But that $1000 can actually be a bigger number if you know the right people at lexus
