When I got recon for my gs300 the guy didn't do the bounce test or measure the height, though I was only dropped on springs, so not that low anyway. I had to show the paper that had the alignment specs, and even though I heard that aftermarket HIDs could fail, the guy didn't say anything about mine (he looked under the hood)

However, I did have a couple of problems. My tint was too dark, around 21%, and my alignment wasn't within the required specs. I had get it re-aligned (luckily for free since I took it back to the same place) and removed the tint, then returned in the afternoon, and got my recon that same day.
