Extended warranty's needed?
I bought a 2021 IS350 AWD 2 weeks ago. The dealership(autonation) is still offering me the extended warranty. Is this something that I should get? My family has bought Lexus' since 1990. They are very dependable and I don't drive very much anymore.

was the car a certified pre-owned? if so, it has a warranty up to 100k, which is much better than the warranty it came with when new.
if not CPO, it's up to you if you want the extended warranty. i personally think if the car is well maintained it will be just fine w/o one, especially its 2GR engine.

So Lexus comes with 4 yrs so you probably have 1 year left on that. If it is a CPO then you get two more years. So three years more total. And if a CPO then you get 4 free services. From what I have learned, the extended warranty I was offered really was just for like an addional year and it was alot. As people say, lexus is a great car. You will probably never use it. I bought an Acura and got the warranty. It extended it until 7 years. Its now 12 years old. Still have never had a repair on it. I think probably its not worth your money.
