Can NE1 recommend a good shop in S. Orange County?
I would love to take our Lexus vehicles to Luxury Motorworks but realistically, they're more than an hour (without traffic) each way from Dana Point. That just isn't realistic for me.
Can anyone recommend another good shop? Our Lexus vehicles (IS and RX) are bone stock and all we have done is routine maintenance. I'm just a little miffed at paying $125 to Lexus Mission Viejo for what amounts to little more than an oil change (especially when I supply the Mobil 1) and I need someplace reputable to take the cars.
Thanks in advance.

There's also an independent Lexus & Volvo mechanic in Fountain Valley...right next to Fry's...just off the 405. I think he's called the Lexus Dr. or something like that.

Need 949 or 714 Independent Repair shop
Common guys...There must be others who don't like going to dealer for service
that can recommend shops in 714 or 949 besides the 2 already mentioned.
Help out your Lexus brothers..

K, here's my suggestion in the 714 area: Friendly Hills on Gilbert in Fullerton. I'm not sure of the exact address or phone number, but I'm more than happy to dig it up for anyone interested. It's near the corner of Gilbert and Malver, right next to Extreme Dimensions .
Bryan, the guy in charge, used to work for Toyota/Lexus before going out on his own. He's a good, honest guy who always treated my Lex as if it were his own. His prices were on the high-end of the average, but the service and quality of work I received always justified it for me.

Those guys provide lousy service, but they seem to be good at curbing wheels. They banged up one of mine too and the car will never go back there.

VeilSideGS3,
Thanks for recommending Dynamic Auto Services. I am taking my car to them this week for my 120K mile service and some front suspension work. I thought the quotes they have me were very reasonable and the guy I talked to, Tex, knew his stuff.

Dynamic is recommended
I took the suggestion of my fellow CL members here and I had the 120K service done on my 94 GS300 and I had some suspension work done as well. I got to Dynamic Auto Services in the morning and met Ted for the first time in person after talking to him on the phone.
Ted saw my car and we talked briefly about the work the car needed at the time. Ted performed the work that I requested and he called me to inform me of issues that we had discussed, but were not part of the service that I requested.
The customer service was excellent and the quality of work was outstanding. I talked to Ted when I dropped my car off (and it had 1 day old 20" Zone Wheels on it). Ted complimented me on the wheels and he took care of the car.
