Angry What happen to the freeways?

Ever since that Tuesday after Labor day weekend, the morning traffic got so F#@&ing bad I take 60 FWY west from Diamond Bar to Monterey Park everyday. It used to be a 40~60 minute drive but now it's 90~120 minute drive!!! Now I have to leave my house at around 6:20 AM, and this is not to beat the traffic, it's to have enough time to get stock in the traffic
WTF???

That's easy to answer.....after Labor Day it's back to school. I notice it every year. Also I think traffic is just getting worse and worse overall.

I know what you mean about the morning traffic. Is it me, or is the 60 pretty much clogged all day long?

The traffic is making rounds, the 91 has been pretty nice this last month. In marked contrast to what Cal Trans had done to it for the last 3 years. Even now they are working on the car pool lane.

Car pool is the only way...in enough cases.

Yeah it's gotten longer for me in the last week. You can blame it on 1) UC and Cal State started back up including K-12, 2) Alot of people are off their vacation schedule. 3) SoCal is just getting clogged with commuters travellers. My once 1 hour and 10 minute commute from the I.E. to Costa Mesa is now on avg 1 hr 30 mins to almost 2 hours.

It's might be the schools started, but it wasn't like bad this before the summer vacation though

Several friends of ours have moved/will be moving into the Riverside area...they relayed to us that there are lots of new homes. I'd think the 210, 10 and 60, will become worse as they try to get into the basin areas.

It's pretty much max out everywhere west of the 57 FWY..........
I think in couple years, Los Angeles area will split into two sections.

To make you jealous Ken

I used to say to myself "why does that old fart have a Vette????" everytime I saw an ond, white-haired dude driving a Vette...I used to get mad because 9 times out of 10 they were driving it super slow. I figured out that they've most likely always wanted something eye-catching and nice and they're just now at an age where they can afford it...that's my logic anyway

...and traffic has always sucked for me. I used to drive from LA to Costa Mesa every morning for work...that sucked majorly...then I moved to Long Beach to help ease the wear and tear on my car. Then I got a new gig working in downtown LA so I had to drive from LB to downtown LA every day, in the worst traffic possible!! Then I had to fight it all the way home at 5pm!! I just said fuggit and moved back to LA, as much as I didn't want to it was my only recourse to eliminate freeways from my life

If we have that big 9.0 earthquake, half the state will slide into the ocean. That should alleviate some of the commuter traffic.

That'll be great!!! Everything west of Diamond Bar sink into the Pacific...........Then I get to have an ocean view from my house

Because of this traffic, I don't really go to any place in the west side (even Rowland Hts,) besides going to work. I do most of my shoppings and entertainments in Chino Hills, Ontario or Orange County.
