I had my quarter panel replaced on my previous SC400 -- it came out to $4,500. At that was just a 5 MPH driveway accident.
There's no way the damage on the car is less than $5,000 -- I was rearended on the highway pretty darn hard (I got a mild concussion) check my pics from my other thread.
I've listed all the parts that need replacing, and all the paint work that needs doing. The NADA value on my car is $12,400... this repair could come close to 80% of that value.
I've got comprehensive insurance from my insurance company in Boston (I'm a student out here, it's complicated -- primary residence=boston) which means the car needs to be repaired to its pre-accident condition.
Bottom line: I need a good shop that will show the insurance company how much this repair will really cost, up front and honestly.
I was T-boned in my old SC4 as well. @ the time I had 99k miles. The repair invoice was for $14,000 because of supplimental claim after supplimental claim. I don't want to be drawn into another situation like that.
I've thought about this over and over and over and over.
so, I've got two recomendations for autobody shops... any more?

Yeah I guess it all depends if you work in the industry or not. Which shop do you work at?

Advanced Body Collision in Monterey Park. We know many adjusters from AAA pretty well. And I heard that AAA is looking for field adjuster rite now. I was about to apply...........but I want to finish my i-car classes first. Maybe next summer I'll try my luck with AAA. If I do get in, then we'll become co-workers
